Fourth Annual Holiday Lighting Event

Join us on Saturday, November 24, 2018, for the Fourth Annual North Anthony Corridor Holiday Lighting event. Stop by for some cookies and hot chocolate, a raffle for gift cards to local Corridor businesses, and to see Santa! We are also asking for canned good donations to a local food bank. The event will take place at Longe Optical (3409 N. Anthony Blvd.). Last year, we added a new light display, and we expanded it this year to include eight pieces. We can't wait to light up the Corridor!    

5pm: Event begins - enjoy refreshments, coloring activities for the kids, and visiting with Santa
5:45pm: Raffle drawing
5:55pm: We light the lights!

AJ Arnett 5K Honor Run/Walk

Hosted by Concordia Lutheran High School and organized by JROTC students, register for the A.J. Arnett 5K Honor Run at www.ajarnetthonorrun.com. Proceeds will benefit Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana and Shepherd's House Fort Wayne

The runs starts at the school and goes into local neighborhoods.

Cost: $23.00 Registration (through 3/31 at 11:59 PM EDT)
$28.00 registration (3/31 at 11:59 PM EDT through 5/17 at 11:59 PM EDT)

Fort Wayne Community Schools, Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School, The Lutheran Schools, St. Paul's Lutheran School, K-8 grade can run for free.

Screen Printing with Leigha VandeZande of Vandi Art

Hosted by Rhapsody Art Gallery and Studio, stop in to learn the process of Screen Printing with local Artist Leigha Vandezande. You'll see how to pull prints on t-shirts, posters, tote bags and more. Be sure to bring your personal items to print! Original designs will be available to decorate your personal items. All materials, including one bag to print, will be supplied. For ages 12 and over.

Record Store Day On the Corridor!

While you're enjoying Record Store Day at Wooden Nickel Records, stop into the North Anthony Corridor Group beer tent for adult beverages provided by Old Crown Coffee Roasters and for more music by local bands (schedule below). Four door prizes will be given away throughout the day. Also, head down to Rhapsody Art Gallery and Studio for some game playing and stop into The Bookmark for a book signing by Vicky Hamilton, author of Appetite for Dysfunction: A Cautionary Tale, and former manager for bands including Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Poison, Faster Pussycat, and Stryper.

Mixed Media Workshop with Angela Hensley and Linda Schwartz

Hosted by Rhapsody Art Gallery and Studio, master mixed media artists Angi Henlsey and LInda Scwartz will be teaching about the multi-disciplinary techniques in this style of painting. All materials will be included with the cost of the class (tickets required) and you will go home with your own ready to hang, beautiful piece of art on canvas! After the class, you will get to take home a "swag bag" put together by Linda and Angi. This will help to get you started on your own mixed media projects at home including an ink pad, stencil, Modpodge, tape, stickers and more!

Bootsy Collins Record Signing & House Party

Stop into Wooden Nickel Records for a visit by bassist and iconic funk prophet Bootsy Collins when he will be signing copies of his new album, "World Wide Funk,"!

To attend this event and meet Bootsy, purchase "World Wide Funk" on CD or vinyl at Wooden Nickel Records. Bootsy will have a DJ playing music during the signing and Wooden Nickel will have free cookies and coffee available. There will also be a storewide 10% DISCOUNT during the house party.

Booksigning at The Bookmark

Stop by The Bookmark in the North Anthony Corridor and meet author Jim Pickett who will be signing his book The Bones of Kekionga and discussing the story and Fort Wayne’s rich history! Jim has the honor of being joined by one of Fort Wayne's most popular and accomplished writers, Blake Sebring, who will be promoting his 8th book, a novel called Lethal Ghost.
