In April of 2015, the North Anthony Corridor Group (NACG) embarked on a planning process to define the vision of the North Anthony Corridor with the assistance of Brightpoint and the Indiana Association for Community Economic Development (IACED).

The NACG spent many hours conducting over 100 one-on-one listening sessions with Corridor business and property owners, as well as pertinent leaders and members of the community to discover the strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities of the area.

In October of 2015, a Visioning Event was held to present the findings of the listening sessions, and to hear additional thoughts and ideas about the Corridor from those in attendance.

From this, working groups were formed to help develop specific goals toward forming the Corridor vision.  These groups are:

  • Business Development/Branding and Marketing
  • Connectivity
  • Beautification

Initial meetings to define the purpose of the working groups were held in early November of 2015.  As the plan was entering into the final stages in early 2016, following numerous hours of discussion and the collaboration of many dedicated individuals, the combined North Anthony and Forest Park neighborhoods won a contest to receive branding and architectural consulting services from Hoch Associates.  At an Open House event in August 2016, a joint "North Anthony Improvement Plan" was revealed.

The NACG welcomes anyone who would like to participate in this planning process.  For more information on how to get involved, send an email to nacg@northanthonycorridor.org.

We look forward to continuing to improve our Corridor and in engaging visitors in all it has to offer.
